Psalms 37:12-15 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
When WE try to help out the Lord in punishment of the wicked, it only delays his wrath against them, and brings chastisement on us. 2nd Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. HE gives everyone multiple chances to turn from their wickedness.
The Lord also says in Matthew 15:13-14 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone: (don’t fight with the fools, just expose them) they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. That ditch is wide and deep, just as the gate to Hell is wide and the way to Salvation is very Narrow!
Proverbs 25:21-22 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: 22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.
I have to remind myself of this EVERY DAY as I look at the news!
